Q: If I am a CRT when I enter the program, can the program help me financially to obtain my RRT credential?
A: Yes, once you have completed one full semester (3 courses) and have a program GPA of 3.0 or higher, you may email the program director to request the assistance. The program will pay for the Kettering RRT Home Study and will have it mailed to the address of your choosing. Additionally, once you have had ample opportunity to study we will reimburse you for both parts of the exam one time (pass or fail) as long as they are not scheduled to be taken on the same day. Just simply scan your proof of payment and send it to the program director as an email attachment.
Are there any courses that I may be exempt from if I have obtained specialty credentials?
Yes. There is one course, Special Respiratory Therapy Internship (3 credits). You may email the program director if you have at least 70 credit hours transferring in from your associate degree and have minimally one of the following active specialty credentials: NBRC’s or its affiliates’ specialty exams (NPS, CPFT, RPFT, SDS, ACCS, RPSGT or AE-C). Once the credential has been verified, the office of Prior Learning Assessment will access the work and charge the student a $180 processing fee, and you will then be awarded 3 credits.
Q: Is the program designed for working adults?
A: Yes, the curriculum was designed for working adults to finish their degree while still maintaining full-time employment.
Q: Is the program 100% online?
A: Yes, there are no face-to-face program requirements and you never have to travel to campus. All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and your coursework can be completed anywhere.
